Makanak Jo is a technical online platform designed to help users post, browse, and find rooms and shared housing opportunities, and to connect housing seekers with listing owners. The platform is not a property owner, landlord, tenant, real estate agent, legal broker, guarantor, or party to any agreement, communication, payment, visit, transaction, or arrangement between users.
Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect different types of data, including but not limited to:
1. Account information: such as your name, email address, phone number, encrypted password, verification status, and account creation date. 2. Listing information: such as listing title, room or housing description, location or area, price, photos, amenities, housing conditions, and contact details added by the listing owner. 3. Verification and communication data: such as email verification codes, account verification logs, and contact reveal request logs. 4. Technical data: such as IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, browser language, access time, pages used, error logs, and performance logs. 5. Usage data: such as how you use the platform, which listings you view or interact with, login attempts, and requests to reveal contact numbers. 6. Files and images: such as photos or files uploaded by users as part of listings or account activity. 7. Consent records: such as your acceptance of the Terms of Use, this Privacy Policy, and any liability disclaimer shown before revealing contact information, including the date, time, and version of the accepted text.
We do not intentionally request unnecessary sensitive data, such as full financial information, health information, religious beliefs, political opinions, or other sensitive personal data. If a user voluntarily includes unnecessary personal or sensitive information in a listing, description, or other submitted content, the user is responsible for doing so.

1. Hetzner for main server hosting and infrastructure. 2. Cloudflare R2 for storage of uploaded images and files. 3. Cloudflare for domain, DNS, security, performance, and analytics services. 4. GitLab.com for code management, development workflows, testing, and deployment, using dedicated runners where applicable. 5. An email service provider for sending verification emails and necessary account-related messages.
Some of these services or servers may be located outside Jordan. By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree that your data may be transferred, stored, or processed outside your country of residence, while reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect it.
We may use analytics tools, such as Cloudflare Analytics, to understand platform usage and improve performance and security. This may include general technical data such as visit counts, device type, approximate location, and general usage behavior.
The platform may use cookies or similar technologies for login sessions, authentication, security, performance, and abuse prevention. Disabling some of these technologies may affect platform functionality.
We do not sell, rent, or trade users' personal information.

When a user posts a listing, certain listing information may become visible to users or visitors depending on the nature of the listing. 3. When a user requests to view a listing owner's contact information, the phone number or contact method added by the listing owner may be displayed according to platform settings and the listing owner's decision to provide it. 4. When required by law, official request, court order, or competent authority. 5. To protect the platform, users, or third parties, or to prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access. 6. In connection with a merger, acquisition, transfer, or sale of the platform or part of its assets, provided that the use of data remains connected to the purposes described in this Policy or an updated policy communicated to users.
When a listing owner adds a phone number or contact method to a listing, the listing owner acknowledges that this information may be displayed to users who request to reveal contact information after accepting the required platform disclaimer.
The listing owner is responsible for the accuracy of the contact details provided and for any personal information they choose to publish or make available through the platform.
Users are fully responsible for any information, images, descriptions, or data they submit or publish on the platform. Users must not publish personal data belonging to others without permission, and must not publish phone numbers, photos, misleading information, unlawful content, or content that violates the privacy or rights of others.
The platform reserves the right to remove, modify, hide, or restrict any content, listing, or account if it appears to violate this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, platform rules, or applicable law.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, misuse, or disclosure. These measures may include encryption where appropriate, access controls, system monitoring, and the use of trusted service providers.
However, no electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential and must not share their account or password with any third party.
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to operate the account, provide platform services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and protect the legal rights of the platform.
Some records may be retained even after account deletion, including consent records, security logs, contact reveal logs, dispute-related records, and records necessary for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or proof of electronic transactions.

Deleting an account may remove or hide listings associated with that account. However, we may retain certain data where there is a legitimate legal, security, operational, or compliance reason to do so, including records related to consent, disputes, abuse prevention, and legal obligations.

The platform may contain contact information, links, or references to third parties. The platform does not control user behavior or third-party actions after a user leaves the platform or begins communication outside it.
